20th Anniversary Celebrations
Mark down Friday 30 March, 2012, in your diaries - you won't want to miss U3A Box Hill's 20th Anniversary celebrations. Festivities start at 12:30 for lunch at 1pm.
Catering will be a spit roast including salads, dessert, and all you can eat.
Libations will be courtsey of BH-U3A .
We are planning activities galore - right now it looks like -
- Pre-lunch music by local musicians
- Screen video - An Oral History of BH U3A
- BH U3A Choral Group leads singing between mains and dessert
- Observance - dignitaries speak (briefly)
- Opening of Strabane Hall new landscaping
- Launch of the Writing Group's latest anthology
- Many of our early and original members attending
- Plenty of cover for fierce sun, or even rain.
Cost of all this celebration is only $20 per ticket. Tickets are being sold during November and December and availability is limited. Contact the Strabane office to book a ticket.
Box Hill is looking for all the early members we can find. If you were a member, or if you know people who were members during our U3A's earliest years, do provide their details to the Strabane office, so we can get in touch.
A DVD oral history is being prepared where our early members can talk about the successes and activities of our 20 years.
